Let’s not waste each other’s time by explaining to you how we are better than any other consultancy* (spoiler: we are probably not), or how we are absolutely unlike anyone else you have ever met (because we are not). Let’s keep this short and painless for the both of us.

* If you actually are interested in these kind of intros, we can of course point you to the right direction. We have read a lot of these. Some are really funny.

WE MOSTLY COME FROM DESIGN

Our team consists of digital product designers, business designers, service designers, with some additional experience in traditional (and less traditional) business strategy and product management.

Still, you should expect suit-not-wearing people who have a tendency to quote Papanek and criticise design thinking on the basis that it’s not really design.

IMPACT FIRST

We work on projects that create positive change in the world. That doesn’t mean that we don’t care about your KPIs - actually, it means the very opposite. We make sure you meet your business goals specifically because we want to see your solutions become successful and create change on the largest scale possible.

On the other hand, it does mean that we might choose not to take your brief. But more on that later.

WE ARE MORE OF A COLLECTIVE THAN A FIRM

Atlas, Rise! experts work with high autonomy in their own fields (as they are mostly very experienced individuals), with independent professional views, partnering up with each other on specific projects. A bit like a law office, except we can’t really give you legal advice.

By the way, we are always looking for new people to join our community, so if you are a designer, strategist, or consultant who is looking for a team to work with while maintaining their autonomy, we should probably talk.

BESPOKE ONLY

We don’t have “proprietary frameworks” that will work 100% of the time, guaranteed, within 3 months. We have spent enough time on this field to know that every company and every problem is different and interesting in its own way, so we always finetune our way of working to our clients.

This also requires more openness and commitment from your side, so if you are only looking to tick an innovation or sustainability item on your list, we are probably not the right choice for you.

NOT ALWAYS SAFE FOR WORK

As you may have realised from the wording on this page, we have a tendency to be a bit cynical about bullshit. We ask uncomfortable questions, discuss elephants in rooms, and if we believe you are making mistakes, we point it out - it’s part of our commitment to our clients.

If you need an agency who does exactly what you want, no questions asked, we may not be a good fit.

If you are looking for someone to collaborate with (in the actual sense of the word, not like half -day ideation workshops), it might just work out.

WE VET OUR CLIENTS

We are a small team, with limited capacity, and we want to keep it that way - we only take clients that fit with our values and projects that we can be passionate about.

There is no black-and-white in our assessment of potential clients, but generally, if your company is primarily creating negative environmental or social outcomes (e.g. high polluters, business models primarily built on addiction) and plans to keep it that way, we probably won’t take your brief.
